  • Many know that our home flooded 2 years ago. Our Christmas was already up, and when our ceilings came down and the restoration team came in, many of our Christmas decorations were destroyed. Much of our home was chaotically moved into the Garage and pods. I had NO idea where anything was, and unpacking was an adventure. Last Christmas diving into our Christmas boxes, we found many broken pieces, and never found some precious things. Our garage has been “A MESS” for 2 years. Part of that was finding the time, the other part was being brave enough to do it. There was a lot of Emotions wrapped up in our flood. Those who have suffered a major loss can understand. Today, Mike and I froze as we took on the garage. We made a huge dent, and I found this precious Gem! We thought it was lost in the damage. It was a gift from Mike’s Mom, and we treasure it. Tonight, it has found it’s place back on our mantle and I could not be happier about that. Submitted by Minden Buckingham

  • This is one-of-a-kind ; the ONLY one in the world. This pen and ink drawing by a very talented cousin of mine was commissioned for me by my daughter Renae Cowley. Because we are an equine-loving family, she requested that the donkey be prominently featured worshipping the Christ Child. After all, it was the donkey who carefully carried Mary to Bethlehem where her child, the Savior of the World, was to be born. Submitted by Carla Cowley
  • An amazing $2 find at Deseret Industries!! It is so beautiful and shines like pewter, but it isn’t!! How could someone possibly donate something this fabulous to DI, but I’m glad they did because now it’s mine. Submitted by Carla Cowley
  • This is a beautiful, ornamental soup tureen with a finely- detailed Nativity on the lid. The texture and dimension are breath-taking. I paid $5 for it at an after-Christmas clearance sale almost 40 years ago. I can’t believe that, after packing it away all these years, no leaves, ears, hands, or anything have chipped off!!
